📍 Guane
Historically, this place was known as "Móncora". Since the time of the Conquest, the Spaniards concentrated the surviving and indoctrinated Guan Indians in this area.
Only 10 kilometers separate Guane from Barichara. This proximity allows both towns to have similar characteristics. One could even think that Guane is a sort of younger brother of Barichara, or even a continuation of it. It is one of those colonial places where it seems that time has not passed, its streets and houses remain as they were in the past. It is a space lost in the desert that hardly exceeds 1000 inhabitants.
Tristán felt into photography world during a 3 years roundtrip. After visiting around 30 countries, he came back to Colombia in 2015, captivated by its diversity and the warmth of its people. Working today for a travel Agency, he has the opportunity to travel in a lot of remote places of Colombia.
